Predictive knowledge is a very effective tool in various cases to predict the future of each scenario- however, that does not mean it is omnipotent. Predictive programs are bound to make mistakes if they lack sufficient knowledge to form conclusions based on them. We cannot always rely on these types of technologies to cover up for our shortcomings. Predictive knowledge is good at being proactive, but as stated earlier- we cannot always rely on this to do our jobs. Some responses require finer tuning or even human input to make the right choices. Obviously, a human is not bound to make no mistakes, but topics that a machine has not learned or requires human emotion cannot simply be answered by a machine. It can be useful in cases where certain types of attacks become more common than others. It would be able to accurately predict and execute countermeasures to prevent potential exploits or attacks on a network. We need good policies to be effective in today’s age of cyber-crimes that may occur. We should always make sure our policies and infrastructure is constantly updated to prevent attacks on our country. We owe it to the people, whether it be clients of a company or citizens of a nation, to have constant up-to-date systems to ensure their well being now and in the future. Predictive knowledge shouldn’t be relied to heavily upon, as people tend to take technology for granted and in the future may not be able to perform their own jobs. Our cybersecurity experts should always be constantly trained and in the field to ensure they are always on the alert. Cybersecurity and cyber-crime is an ever-growing factor in our lives, and will be present for the generation succeeding us. We need to make sure we establish these policies, guidelines, and other knowledge for our future kin to expand upon- which humanity has done for centuries.
