There are many ways to tell if your computer is safe. Some people opt to use subscription-based programs or services to ensure their computers are safe. Some opt to have strict rules or habits when it comes to being online. I, for one, tend to use the internet very safely. I try to avoid sites that may seem suspicious. If I fail at doing even that, my browser will warn me that the site I am trying to visit may not be safe and open to attacks on my device. Whenever I talk to people online you are always told to never tell others your password. This holds true for every aspect. Your password is sacred, and it should be treated with utmost importance. Giving away your password is comparable to giving away your house keys to a random stranger on the street. Although I try and be safe online as much as possible, whenever I download something that may seem suspicious or illegitimate, I will run scans using a free application ‘Malwarebytes’ to do a deep scan on my computer after the fact to see if there were any possible foreign entities that made its way into my computer. It can scan for malware, and its sub-variants. I also make sure my passwords are not too similar as when one password is leaked or cracked the rest would follow suit soon. Like a company, people should strive to have complex passwords to avoid their online accounts being compromised so easily. In terms of physical security, people should avoid leaving their computers or laptops unattended when logged into their user accounts to avoid compromising of their accounts as well. Leaving your computer unattended for a few minutes in a public area like a café not only opens you up to theft, but of possible breaches in your user accounts.

People should practice safe online browsing and other methods of keeping their online accounts safe from harm.
