For this week\u2019s journal I chose to make a meme out of image nine out of the ten given (as the instructions do not make it clear if all images have to be made into a meme, just one, or if the meme is supposed to be a separate thing). This image, from the title, depicts a summer school classroom in the middle of a lecture on an unknown subject. I chose this image because it demonstrates a prime example of the human systems integration framework by depicting an environment where human factors play heavily into cybersecurity. While there are many angles and human factors that can be taken into account in this image\u2013such as the safety of the laptop users in this image being influenced by their location and peers around them\u2013I chose the angle of the implementation of cybersecurity technology being the topic being taught. This is due to the influence that the paper cup example given in this week\u2019s module had on my understanding of human psychology when it relates to cybersecurity. It does not matter if a new method is secure if it does not appeal to people and their personal ease of use. Even when people are learning about the ways they should ensure their own cybersecurity, they may intentionally circumvent those means and ignore them entirely. This is what my meme depicts, people ignoring the new means to ensure their own cybersecurity. While it is only a few who seem to not be paying attention, four is still a large number of people considering the influence peers have on others. If just one of those four falls victim to a cybersecurity attack, everyone in the room is at risk of suffering. In essence, this image perfectly encapsulates multiple\u2013if not all\u2013concepts from this week\u2019s module by showing the cybersecurity risks people face in everyday seemingly harmless situations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
