Over the course of these past few weeks, I have noticed a major weakness of mine followed by some minor weaknesses that I have. My major weakness is that I do not look my paper over after I have completed it. This has always been an issue for me, usually because I’m to tired or just simply being lazy. The affect of not doing this always causes me to have common problems with knowing when to end a sentence or when to put a comma in between sentences. A minor weakness of mine, that doesn’t happen that often, is my transitioning between paragraphs. It usually has to do with knowing what to start the paragraph off with. I think one of my strengths is getting the point of my essay across to the audience. When I am writing an essay, I stay on track with the topic and I always make sure to have background knowledge on each minor subject of the topic.

My plan is to check over each essay I write after completion. To read each sentence for any grammatical errors or errors with my punctuation. Also, I need to listen to each sentence for when there would be a pause or a stop. I have trouble with this because of how language today has so much slang and mispronunciation with words and sentences. In order for me to be successful with that though, ill need to take my time with it.

The transition to this college level of English wasn’t that difficult for me. I’ve always liked English and I have continued to do so. There’s more writing than what I had in high school though but I am handling it very well overall.
