The principles of science play a crucial role in cybersecurity to understand, develop, and better advancements in cybersecurity. Cybersecurity is considered a subset of computer science even though cybersecurity is its own field of study. Cybersecurity must abide by the same principles that the other sciences abide by such as relativism, skepticism, determinism, ethical neutrality, parsimony principles, and objectivity.

The principles of science can help guide cybersecurity research and help the way that the moves within the field. This helps develop a way to identify cyber issues such as threats and hacking while also developing ways that can increase and enhance security. The principles of science can provide a framework for cybersecurity professionals to understand and address the challenges that cybersecurity faces. By applying these principles, strategies for protection plans are made to ensure security measures with the cyber-threat that is occurring.

In my opinion I believe that it is necessary to have the knowledge of the principles of science while working in the field of cybersecurity as it aids development and research speeds to better protect individuals and corporations from threats that emerge in the cyber-world. I also believe that with the principles of science professionals can have a better understanding of the cyber-world and why and how people are making cyber-attacks.
