Cybersecurity is ne of the most important factors in organizations as the presence of cyber incidents presents major vulnerabilities to the confidentiality of important information and data. Mitigating these common threats is necessary for organizations to be able to thrive and operate while being safeguarded from malicious activities. To ensure the success of mitigating risk, employees should be trained in operations of cyber security such as monitoring and reporting any system failures that may occur or have a chance of occurring. By having trained employees to be able to successfully monitor these systems, employee satisfaction also can increase as they will have a better feeling of protection.

Hypothesis one states that cyber incident reporting mechanisms mediates the relationship between organizational innovativeness culture and cyber incident occurrences. Rising Cyber-attacks creates a threat to the security of online organizations. Being able to identify the threat early on is crucial to mitigate risk exposure for organizations. However, many staff members in organizations are untrained and unable to detect these early on threats which unfortunately, lead to massive data breaches that lead to bankruptcy.  Security awareness training must take place through organizations. Self-attitude and self-cognitive factors significantly influence the effectiveness in security awareness.

To research the needed necessary data, the research employes quantitative methodologies to offer a comprehensive perspective on the phenomenon. The researchers used Likert-scale questions to measure the responses, enabling quantitative analysis. Data was collected via online and aimed to collect the data regarding employees’ experiences and observations regarding cyber-incidences. As the researchers collected the data from the employees that have answered the questions online, they were able to get more insight into what needs to be the primary focus on employee satisfaction regarding cybersecurity.

Regarding the CYSE201S class that I am taking, the topics in this article go hand in hand with each other as the topics go back to being able to teach cybersecurity socially. It is crucial that people can formally work together in a non-hostile environment in order to enhance their security. The topic of social cybersecurity can help employees to be more interested in the topic and have employees more eager to learn how they can help positively safeguard their organization.
