1. For money. I would say for money is first, because people do scam people for money so it would make sense why it’s ranked high but it’s still not a good thing to do.
2. Political. A lot of political debates and voting scams happen because the people doing the scamming don’t either like the person or what the person has to say.
3. Recognition. Hacking to get recognition is something that makes sense depending on the situation, but I still feel like it’s something that shouldn’t happen.
4. Revenge. Revenge is ranked up high because I could see why a hacker might hack someone to get revenge on them even though it’s still not ok, but a lot of people do hack people to get back at them.
5. Curiosity. Doing an online crime out of curiosity, is right around the middle of the rankings for me because having a strong desire to learn something just to commit a cybercrime sounds crazy.
6. Entertainment. Committing a cybercrime out of per entertainment is ranked low because doing bad just because it brings excitement is something that’s not ok to do.
7. Multiple reasons. Multiple reasons also don’t make sense to me too much, because of the simple fact that hackers sometimes commit online crimes just to have an ego boost, there’s no real reason behind it.
8. Boredom. Boredom is ranked low because it doesn’t make sense to commit a cybercrime just because a person is bored.
