This was a lab-based course done in a sandbox area with the goals of gaining exposure into the fields of digital forensics, identifying, collecting, processing, and preserving digital evidence on various types of devices, networks, and computing environments, and reporting digital forensic findings and preparing court presentation materials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the assignments that I feel ties together what I have learned from the class is the midterm, where I created a plan for creating a digital forensics laboratory for a mid-sized police department. Overall, I feel like I should have spent more time creating the diagrams and maybe researching information for the lab accreditation plan. I think that now that I am more proficient with Visio, I could make a better physical layout section.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
