PHIL 355E, also known as Cyberethics, explores the ethical issues that arise in the field of computing and information technology. Throughout the course, we examined a wide range of topics including privacy, cybersecurity, freedom of speech online, digital responsibility, and the ethical obligations of IT professionals. We also discussed the societal impacts of emerging technologies and how to critically evaluate cyber-related dilemmas through various ethical frameworks. This class provided me with a deeper awareness of the responsibilities cybersecurity professionals carry and helped me develop a more thoughtful, ethically grounded perspective on the work I plan to do in the field.
