For our basic needs, technology can come into play with security. All of our information is kept on technology and if that gets exposed, we are vulnerable. So, our need for cybersecurity starts at our basic needs in Maslow’s hierarchy of Needs. At the psychological and self-fulfillment needs level, we use technology to make all our day-to-day activities easy. We have online dating and social media to help with the need for belonging and love. We also use our social media platforms to showcase our accomplishments and receive praise for them from family and friends. Then, we use technology for our own creative and self-satisfactory activities. We use technology for everything in our lives, from our basic need for security to our self-fulfillment and entertainment.
