Ethical Issues and Personal Information in Cybersecurity

When it comes to personal information being stored electronically, the most important concern is security. Some ethical issues that can arise when storing electronic information about individuals includes access rights, privacy, and hacking. People want to trust that their information will be kept safe. When it comes to access rights, is the person accessing the information an authorized individual? Even if they are an authorized individual, are they going to change the accuracy of any data information? Privacy is also an important factor when it comes to electronic information. It is important to know if the information is public and to what extent such as who can view the information and how deep into it can people look into. The final concern is hacking: how secure is the information so that it will be highly unlikely and difficult for anyone who is an unauthorized individual to obtain the information?
