Week 12 – Journal Entry 14

After reviewing the article titled “11 illegal things you do unknowingly Do on the Internet” I was able to put aside 5 things that stood out to me as the most serious violations. First one would have to be bullying and trolling. Online bullying and trolling also known as cyber bullying, is something that should be prevented at all costs. There are many instaces of cyber bullying leading to suicide or other bad outcomes and we should look to prevent this as much as possible. The second would be Collecting information about children. This one speaks for its self and can be labled as pedophelia. The third would be stealing other peoples internet. This can be labled as stealing and users should look to ask for permission from the owner before commiting such acts. The fourth would be Faking identity online. Faking your identity seems as if it can be harmless but whenit comes to using someone elses identity and claiming it as your own is where the crime can go from one charge to multiples. Last but not least would be. Last but not least would be illegal searches on the internet. When thinking of this type of activity the first thing that comes to mind would be searching on the black market, This is illegal and can lead to very dangerous encounters or address leaks as well as personal information breaches. We should look to keep from these illegal activities for a safe online experience for all of us.
