If we over predict, we may be hurt later in the future. Of course if we are not predictive enough, we will not be prepared for the new developments. It’s also hard to stay on top of all of the new policies being made as they change daily due to all of the new technology and attacks. It is important to predict what will happen next within policies but also stay realistic and realize the risks in the policies

Cyber technology makes interactions between offenders and victims very easy. With all of the new technology being introduced year after year, offenders are finding new ways of contacting their victims. There are so many social media apps and other websites that make contacting people and hiding their real identity easy. For example, Omegle is an anonymous site where random people are able to chat with each other. You don’t really know who is on the other side of the phone. If you aren’t careful, they can pose as someone else and get some of your personal information. Also, IP addresses are easy to pull off of this website. Many kids are often endangered too on these websites due to older people and fake accounts being on this site. Another example would be the show “Catfish.” In this show, the hosts track down faulty people who think they are actually talking to someone else. A lot of times these people are often never tracked down. Some of the users report talking to a fake account for years and not realizing it until further down the road. On dating apps, people often meet up and are unaware that the other person intends  harm. It is important to meet in a public place so no harm can occur.
