Now that the last few weeks of the Spring 2016 semester are here, the improvement in writing techniques is very high. According to me, this course has increased my formal writing level and the only reason that it might not seem like it is because I am writing reflection two and three in the time span of a couple of days. Speaking of the reflections, Word Press has been one impressive journey for me. Before I started the site, I was panicked on how well I would do and if I could really pull off a website without screwing up in some form. However, I was lucky enough that the website was all buttons and no coding, which was what I feared. The whole website took me a couple hours to get the way want it, although I am still trying to fix it up and will fix it after everything is posted. This site has been somewhat of a milestone. The amount of stress and work that went into making this site something that I could be proud to show to the class is nothing to sneeze at. I stressed over everything after I found that others in the class were going to use this as a reference. Also, I was elated in that same fact because that means that people are actually looking at my work and appreciating it after I deemed it mediocre work. Word Press is something that should be used in every university that blends its studies into technology. It teaches organization and to be careful what to put online for it could reach your superior’s computer. The site helps me with understanding my writing style with checking it over and over and editing non-stop. My writing is nothing special, but this site makes it so people that actually want to read them the ability to do so and to creatively criticize my work. The overall outcome of my site is representative of my personality of like to read and write and it mentions this fact several times it also mentions how much of a complete and utter nerd I am. The blue background is because it is one of my favorite colors. A second reasoning is that the books used in the top image have a main character who is the son of Poseidon, the Greek sea god. I wanted to use ocean pictures, but none of the ones I found looked ok. This site is more organized than it may seem at first and if any of you have any suggestions, please let me know.
