I know that this is a random topic, but I know that it is a good one. I know this because if people looked at the picture at the top then they could probably guess my favorite series. It is Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I love the different messages that one could get from reading it. The way that I interpret this series is that one boy who thinks he is normal turns out to save the world despite being overly modest and loyal. He makes friends for the first time at a summer camp and fights for his girlfriend’s life, even if it means he is in pain. Throughout the main five books to the series, he constantly fights for his friends and extended family, even if they wouldn’t do the same for him. That is unlikely because what he does not realize is that he is immensely loved by his loved ones. In these books, Percy is tormented, tortured, abused, hated on, and blamed for a lot. The thing that strikes me about this poor boy is his will to live on to help anyone and everyone he can in spite of everything that has happened to him. People eventually began to cheer on the boy and look up to him as he does his many challenges that the fates, or destiny, bring to him. This book series brings every fan to tears and heartbreak as he goes through these challenges and teaches important lessons on friendship, loyalty, flaws, beliveing, and fighting spirit. there are so many more morals to these books, but these are the ones that stand out the most.
