This course focuses on the mathematical foundations and practical implementations of cryptographic techniques critical for securing digital information. What stood out to me in this specific course were the homework assignments because they provided a more hands on approach to learning the subjects at hand. More specifically was a homework assignment that tasked me with mathematically proving that a recipient received the exact message sent by the sender, an exercise that emphasized the integrity and authenticity of communications in cybersecurity systems. This assignment helped me develop a solid understanding of the fundamental mathematical techniques underlying cryptology. It challenged me to think critically and logically, along with sharpening my problem-solving skills. These capabilities are not only important for cryptographic applications but also for other challenges in cybersecurity, where precision and analytical thinking are paramount.
These skills will help me in my career, allowing me to be able to tackle complex projects and contribute to developing robust cryptographic solutions, as long as I continue to work on and improve them. The most significant artifact from this course is the homework assignment below (the questions on top and my answers below it).
