Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs can simply be applied to my technological experiences. Physically, I utilize technology to access food delivery applications and health-tracking equipment, ensuring that fundamental demands like nutrition and exercise are satisfied. For security, I use online banking with secure encryption and password managers to protect my information. Social tools such as social media and messaging apps satisfy my want for connection and belonging. For status, I employ LinkedIn and other professional networks to highlight my accomplishments, boosting confidence. Finally, technology promotes self-actualization by providing online classes and creative outlets such as blogging, which allow me to grow and express myself digitally. My regular interactions with technology have an impact on each layer of need.
