Cybercrime is perhaps the most recent evolution in the world of crime. Crimonologists agree that the increase in cybercrime stems from technological advancements that have changed all facets of societal interactions rooted in cybersecurity. A large number of cybercrime is included in the works of cybersecurity. The internet provides a certain level of disassociation and anonyminity to such a crime and can be committed from the comfort of one’s own home. One of the largest crimes involving a computer would have to fall under law enforcement. Law enforcement has the largest number of victims and monetary loss on the internet via identity theft. But also one of the number one crimes that has been normalized today is cybercrimes agaisnt person also known as cyber harrassment, cyber stalking, and cyber threats all of which can also be known as cyberbullying. The crime fighters of today must think like criminals to test things like the security of a software program, computer network, or hardware device. For simple protection, like cybersecurity, in the field of cybercrime they must employ those that can pass any authenticity or integrity test. There could easily be somebody who could be leaking informatin and allowing anyone in thriugh the backdoor of their organizations web access. Some examples of cybercrime rooted in cybersecurity are email and internet fraud, identity fraud (where personal is stolen), theft of financial or card payment data, theft and sale corporate data, cyberextortion (demanding money to prevent a further attack, and so on and so forth. Many jobs in te cybersecurity field require employees with strong communications, critical thinking, and policy developmental skills ( or skills tat are promoted in criminal justice).Without the process of authentication and integrity, technology would become more vulnerable to cyber attacks increasing the rate of cybercrime. Althought the ease of technology has allowed criminals a means of carrying out illegal activities online against others, it has at the same time given the criminal justice system some leverage with the power of technology to help put a stop, find , or prevent these crimes altogether.
