Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs outlines five levels of human motivation and for me technology plays a huge role in each.

For my physiological needs, apps like food delivery services help me out a lot, ensuring I have food when I’m busy or can’t just grab it myself.

For my safety needs, cybersecurity tools like antivirus software and VPNs protect our online data and while we’re at home smart home devices as well as locks provide physical security.

Next, technology provides me with love and belonging through social media and online communities like Instagram, X, and Facebook, which help me stay connected to everything. It also supports and boosts my self-esteem needs by providing platforms for recognition, like LinkedIn, where we can share our own achievements.

Lastly, my own self-actualization is fulfilled through online learning platforms and creative tools that allow me to pursue passions and develop new skills such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Fiverr, Upwork, and in some cases even YouTube.

In summary, my digital experiences have contributed to fulfilling all of my needs, from security to self-expression.
