I was born in Haarlem, Netherlands and spent most of my childhood there, so being the first in my family to get a college education here in the United States puts a lot of pressure on me. As I’m currently attending college, I am still learning how to manage my time as a student-athlete, brother, and son. College is busy when it comes to classwork, unreasonable amounts of work, and having soccer practice. But not only do I have to worry about my education, I still need to be in contact with my parents and brother back at home. In order for me to be on top of everything and still be able to have a social life outside of the books, I need to set up a calender and set my hours throughout the day. It will allow me to keep track of homework while still being able to hangout with friends and get to talk to family over the phone.Sadly, this is what the college life has to offer but I know that its a learning experience that will figure itself out once I get settled and find the solution to time management.
