UNIV 150: Reflection Essay 2

Since taking the midterm, earlier in the year, my writing skills have improved substantially as well as my ability to put more literate sentences together. Not only put together well composed sentences applied to essays and written assignments, but also in the way I construct my own verbal sentences. Since Reflection Essay 1, I can find myself being able to have fluent thoughts and sentences be composed and written for my assignments, my confidence in the substance I put in my works has increased, and as a result of what I learned from what I haven’t been able to master, the comments I receive provide a constructive criticism that shows me what I’ve clearly done wrong and how to fix it.

In the time period of Reflection essay 1 and the midterm, my writing skills were adequate but consistent grammar mistakes and incorrectly constructed sentences appeared to be marked out significantly on assignments I turned in. Going through the next couple of weeks following those events, I learned much more in depth what I was doing wrong, not only my knowledge for the class but my work ethic for the class well. Realizing the work load I had on my hands, something had to change in the way process I went through to complete my assignments. Along with realizing this, these weeks helped me more understand what I was doing wrong and assess a solution for my mistakes.

Following this correctional process of what I’ve been doing wrong in my performance in the class, my confidence in myself and my performance on newly assigned essays and works has increased now that I’ve received the constructive editing on my papers. Being able to have that opportunity of someone showing what you did wrong and also suggesting what to do right is a prize opportunity to possess and use to your benefit.
