Developing cybersecurity programs in businesses has a lot of costs and benefits. A benefit of companies developing the programs is that they can help protect the company from cyber-attacks and any human errors. On the other hand with that benefit it is also a cost to that, a cost to that is that the company has to set up a cybersecurity team and have that same team program their security systems on the companies devices. When companies want to implement security into their business the company must have a meeting to figure out what security measures would work the best for their company. Another cost of hiring the team is that they will have to train and hire more employees so that they can protect all aspects of the company. This process should be done in the early stages of building the company because it will take a few days for the employees to be able to learn everything about the security system so it can run efficiently. A benefit of hiring all of these employees is that all of your assets and data should be covered and if there is any security breach it should be handled fast and appropriately. Another cost of hiring the team and employees is that you must pay them their worth. I always believed that if you want top-tier employees you must pay them for their knowledge and for their time. The company Microsoft has the best cyber security teams because they must protect their private information and protect clients’ information. After all, if a hacker got into their systems and get a hold of their client’s information that would cost the company millions of dollars lost because new clients would not want to do business with them and old clients would take their business from them.
