I know you will really enjoy it. You will learn a lot of useful things that will help you in your future studies for medical school. Although we did not spend a lot of time studying the endocrine system, we did learn a lot of other things that were interesting. I loved studying about bacteria and I know you will too. In fact, my personal research paper was over bacterial meningitis. I learned a lot of new things when working on this research paper. I learned how to search through scientific articles and find key information.

If I Could give you one piece of advise I would say pay better attention to lectures. I found the quizzes to be slightly difficult, but I somehow struggled my way through them. If you pay better attention then maybe the quizzes won’t be so difficult for you. I also found smart biology to be really helpful. Start those assignments early in the week, so that you are not staying up so late on Sunday night. I also found the leukemia research paper to be difficult. Make sure you start that before Thanksgiving break so that you can fully read through the article and understand it.

This class was a lot of fun and I know that you will enjoy it. Make sure to go to every lecture to max out on attendance points. You will get a small break early in the semester because of a hurricane. It will hit nowhere near Norfolk, but you’ll miss an entire week of class because of it.

Best wishes,

Your Future Self

Dear Past Self, This semester has been awesome.
