The world has turned into a world run by computers. For many of us this has made life much more convenient. For some they feel less and less safe. Most gains come with risks especially when involving technology. For example computers have the ability to allow a person to monitor their home from anywhere. This makes it more convenient to secure your home, but leaves the window for hackers to hack the system. Revealing the insides of your home to a stranger Computers have the ability to store some of our most important info without endless clutter. Yet it is possible for someone to obtain your information from the computer. Revealing possible social security numbers, card numbers, etc. They have also made GPS alot safer through the use of technology. Computers have been making life easier, but they tend to fall victim to attacks. Bank hacks, car computer hacks, etc, computers are great until they arent.
How do engineers make cyber networks safer?
A network can always be safer than it already is. A security engineer is hired to specialize in designing systems. This system is for dealing with disruptions such as a cyber attack, a natural disaster, etc. An engineer would have a system prepared for these events.The engineer also has the job of trying to rid the system of bad software. Bad software can leave a network vulnerable to many attacks. Attacks such as malware spyware and many more.The engineer would make sure operations are running smoothly and then tries to assess possible occurrences later down the road. An engineer would then test and screen these different systems to ensure they operate well. Just being sure that everything is full proof. Making minor or major fixes early on can save a world of trouble. As one can see engineers play a major role in keeping networks safe.
