Technology is something that is still being developed day by day and new findings are being made. With everything comes its pros and cons. There’s a bunch of ways that computers have made our lives safer. The major one being having something that can hold all your important information digitally. We talk about all the possible breaches that may or may not happen sometimes we fail to see that a computer holds various amounts of information that can easily be copied in its physical form, with it being on a computer you can have different functions on your computer that will encrypt that data so that if a breach of some sort was to happen the person would have a hard time trying to get that information off of a computer. This provides us with a safer method of storing our personal information. During the COVID-19 outbreak, the whole world practically went virtual for 2 years, with computers and different technologies being available for use people were able to see their doctors virtually for different checks ups, also were able to help them with any illness by having different electronics like a heart monitor that they would be able to access remotely for the patient. The con of having these computers can be seen in two different ways. The main one would be cyber attacks and breaches that can put our personal information at risk, this is the most common reason why people would list computers as dangerous. The Sony breach of 2017 put many people at risk due to how big that breach was, the breach also could have been prevented if the software and cybersecurity role of the company had caught the hackers. The other option would be that computers are not good for your overall eye health so it’s a good idea to protect yourself from the different types of light that computers produce.
