CRJS 310
This class provided me with an overview of computer crimes, how law enforcement officials go about investigating them, and the sociological impact of technology on society. This class took more of a focus and elevated my knowledge on the sociological aspect of technology and the different crimes/techniques used by both criminals and law enforcement officials giving me a better understanding of cybercrimes. This class really enabled me to efficiently identify risks that systems and applications containing privileged information face.
Below is a paper I wrote in this class labeled “What Do Social Scientists Know About Cyber Defense?” Here I discussed the difference between cybersecurity and cyber defense and how cyber defense can be implemented into the future and into the military.
