In this article Slynchuk describes eleven actions that are illegal that users may unknowingly partaking in. Out of these eleven the five violations that in my opinion are the most serious and heinous are bullying and trolling, collection of information of people younger than 13, illegal searches on the internet, sharing addresses, photos, passwords of others, and lastly, faking your identity online. These five violations are the most serious because they relate to the harm of other individuals either physically or mentally, and are deceitful and dangerous. Especially in the cases of the first three listed, firstly, bullying can hold a heavy toll on the victims health state. Secondly, collecting information on individuals younger than 13 is extremely predatory and violates Children’s Online Protection Act and is a heinous crime. Lastly, sharing other individuals private information or doxxing them creates a situation potentially endangering the victim to all perpetrators in the cyber realm. The reasons stated above explain why I think that these violations are the most serious.
