When reviewing the NICE Workforce Framework I found that some of the variety of career specialty areas are intriguing and could be a possible focus for a career. The protect and defend category was the first that personally stuck out to me. Within this category specialty areas include cyber defense analysis, vulnerability assessment and management, etc. This category appeals the most to me because it revolves around securing and protecting a system and critically thinking about analyzing and mitigating possible threats that your network may fall victim to. The area that appeals the least to me however is the operate and maintain category. This appeals the least because the installation, and upkeep of system or networks just does not suit my idea of a future career however, the importance of the job cannot be understated.
