The global climate is evolving towards a world where it will be dominated on the cyber level controlled by the seeking and gathering of information and in turn the suppression of your opponents, on a national scale. However, the inevitable search for strengths and weaknesses these countries are to look inward at their own structure. Leaders of nations must understand social cybersecurity to defend their internal structure, whether that is strengths or weaknesses from external perpetrators. The educating of our own force and society about the nature of the modern information environment, risks, vetting of facts and opinions, and how we use this environment to shape our beliefs and attitudes is of utmost importance. Social cybersecurity will continue to gain more traction and will be a discipline to be heavily invested in for generations.
