For the Social Media Disorder Scale it states that out of the nine questions 5 of the criteria must be met to have a formal diagnosis for disordered social media user. The nine questions all have associated criteria, the criteria being: preoccupation, tolerance, escape, persistence, withdrawal, conflict, problems, deception, and displacement. Out of these nine questions or criteria I scored a 0 out of 9 I answered no on all nine questions or criteria. I think these 9 criteria in the scale is an accurate representation of criteria that is met when someone should be diagnosed with being a disordered social media user. As far as why are different patterns found across the world simply I think that a lack of technology in some parts of the world can create these different patterns, however in technological advanced countries the patterns will vary because of diversified culture across the world that impacts social media usage.
