One of those reasons being that a career in the cybersecurity field is high-paying. I am unsure of what kind of job I would like, but I know that I want to work in a field that pays well, and the cybersecurity field pays very well. Some cybersecurity jobs pay as much as $200k. According to the website Glassdoor, in Virginia, a Cybersecurity analyst can make anywhere from 52k-130k a year. There is a lot of money to be made in the cybersecurity field and I want to get in on it.&nbsp; Another reason the cybersecurity field interests me is my dad. Now he isn\u2019t technically doesn\u2019t work in the cybersecurity field (he is a software engineer and has written code for the coast guard and the marines), but talking with him he has explained to me what he does and I understand that the two fields are similar and do sort of the same work. Sometimes I watch him and ask questions about what he&#8217;s doing, and I am always fascinated by what he does, which makes me want to go into a field similar to his. Cybersecurity also interests me because I just like to work with computers. I don\u2019t have much experience with coding or anything like that, I only took 1 class in high school where we did a brief week-long unit on coding. But in that time I learned that it was something that I enjoyed doing and I wanted to learn more about it. I am also interested in cybersecurity because I don\u2019t know that much about it. I know that people in the cybersecurity field help build safe cyberspaces, and that&#8217;s about it.
