It is important to have the ability to think creatively in cybersecurity, because creative, out-side-the-box thinking is the only way we can solve problems, like fixing bugs in code or overcoming threats made by adversaries. Moreover, creativity helps when it comes to making our lives easier for ourselves, like automating mundane and repetitive tasks so we can focus on more important issues. Below is a project I completed for my AI 427 class that tackles exactly that. I wrote python code and with chatbot plugins, I created a python script that uses AI to find detection(s), mitigation(s), and procedure(s) for attack techniques on the MITRE ATT&CK matrix. Note: when interacting the code, it may produce an error called “RateLimitError”. This is because we used a free version of the AI plugin I mentioned, and the output of the code exceeds the limit of characters that is allowed to be utilized while on the free version. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
