Writing Assignment #1: Personal Statement <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Welcome to my personal statement page! In this assignment, I go in depth on my passion and why I chose this study to be my future career job. This assignment will also talk about my identity and will articulate my visions on who I want to be in the future. <\/p>\n\n\nUntitled-document-17 <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n In this assignment, we understood to 1) define primary and review articles; 2) describe the peer <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n In this assignment, I learned how to cite a source from a scholar source that was a genetics-related primary article in peer-reviewed journal. The citation method was in journal Nature format. <\/p>\n\n\nWriting-Assignment-3_Citation-2 <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n This assignment was overall my favorite one to do in this course. I am more of a visual learner and in this assignment we had to draw a diagram of DNA replication and put down 26 traits that we know from what we learned so far. This to me is basically how we see and interpret the DNA structure and what we think they look like, which I thought was very cool. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Gene Expression Diagram (Critical Reading #2)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This assignment was very interesting to me because I didn’t realize how many traits the gene expression had, especially when it’s all put into a diagram. We were asked to show gene expression for eukaryotes, include the three post- transcriptional processing steps. These steps are: DNA strand, mRNA strand, and the polypeptide strand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Writing Assignment #4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I loved learning about this one because the purpose of this assignment was to find a genetics-related article from a newspaper or magazine, and write a summary of that article. The article I chose was the “Return of the Dire Wolf” by the Times Magazine that remarks on the potential discovery of bringing back this animal that was extinct for over 10,000 years.
