Forever fascinated by the little things that run our world

Cell Biology Thoughts

I had avoided taking cell biology during my undergraduate coursework because it had a pretty bad reputation at my university, including a not so affectionate nickname. My plan was to take it over the summer without any other courses so I could focus my attention on it. After the first week I was kind of questioning my sanity in trying to cram in an entire semester of learning about complex processes into only 6 weeks. Thankfully, the lectures were really thorough and the lessons from the book broke things down in a way that made everything much easier to understand. In my previous job we spent most of our time communicating with our team via memes and gifs, so it seemed the obvious choice to communicate how I’m feeling about cell biology as the course wraps up. It’s been an interesting journey learning more about the smallest of living things and I look forward to applying what I’ve learned in future courses.
