Firsthand experience has shown us the difficulties<br>ILCs encounter when attempting to negotiate Indonesia&#8217;s complex land ownership<br>system, where indigenous peoples frequently hold the upper hand over foreign or tightly<br>controlled corporations. Looking ahead, there are some good recommendations for<br>further research, such as loosening ownership restrictions and streamlining property laws.<br>The goal is to level the playing field and improve the efficiency and fairness of land<br>ownership.
