Four ethical issues arise when storing electronic information about individuals beginning with confidentiality and privacy, security attacks, selling customers’ information, and keeping a hold of individuals’ information. People should respect privacy and confidentiality as the most important value involved. Consumers trust important information that they give the business or a company and trust them enough to keep their information secured and locked. Security attacks also known as security breaches can cause individuals to not trust the company or business no more with their information. People are more invested in what security plans the business or the company has based on cybersecurity. Companies and businesses need to have the latest technology and programs for their data to be secured. Customers should be sure that their data is safe and secure. A cybersecurity risk is a potential threat that can lead to an attack or breach on software systems and network systems. I believe that in other countries other than the U.S are far worse and more at risk of a cyber-attack based on their resources. Some countries don’t have the defenses as the U.S. to protect themselves from hackers and security breaches and this will cost money the business. Yes, the U.S. still has cyber attacks and breaches, but we have a better chance of defending it than other countries. In countries outside of the U.S, it’s hard for them to get protection from other people for their networks. Countries outside of the U.S are easily targeted because of the lack of security they have for their small business. I believe that countries should learn about their networks and software for their small business so they would be protected. Small businesses should be more aware of cyber attacks and breaches. The more business knows about cyber life than the fewer cyber attacks would happen and breaches.
