Cyber Law

Julian Assange - Wikileaks

CYSE 406, Cyber Law, is an amazing course to take, especially if you do not possess much knowledge regarding legislation or regulation in both the physical and cyber realm. This class provides an appropriate foundation and exposes the students to the legal world and provides discussions that allow for students to voice opinions on various situations.

The above photo references one of my favorite discussions, because it brought to light one of the biggest data leaks in history as Julian Assange allowed for the dissemination of classified data through his website, Wikileaks. He has been brought up through court for what he had allowed, but this allowed for transparency to be spotlighted within the government and how it needed to change. The discussion allowed for many to provide insight into whether or not they saw Assange as a hero.
