After watching a video by Nicole Enesse, information regarding Cybersecurity Analysts and what they do has been obtained. Enesse describes the job, salary, job outlook, and skills that someone should possess for the job. One of the biggest things that she notes is that analysts should monitor user awareness and provide training to personnel when working as a security analyst. This is a major thing as an analyst should learn the social behaviors of their coworkers in order to know how to appeal to them when teaching and how to monitor if there are any vulnerabilities if a threat were to try and social engineer someone within the organization.
As Enesse notes within the beginning of the video, an analyst is the first line of defense in the organization. With this, it is imperative that one is prepared fully and knowing the users of the network and how they practice security is necessary to tailor correctly. If you are able to be the first line of defense and approach these tactics to mitigate attacks from phishing attacks, scams, or social engineering, the idea of monitoring behaviors would be greatly important and relative to the job of a cybersecurity analyst.
Enesse describes the job very well and does not necessarily mention social behaviors directly, but she provides key notes about the role of the job and how it should process. She describes how an analyst should be able to perform the research and communicate effectively with those around them, showing that social behavior and interaction is closely related to the role of analyst.
