Journal 9

Based on the Social Media Disorder Scale I would have scored a 0 as none of the questions I could say were true to me. I think the items in the scale were alright, but it lacked a lot of important details. ForĀ  example, regularly neglecting other activities to spend time on social media is a hard one to answer. To say I do not take breaks to scroll social media would be lying, but none of my productivity goes down because of it, and my work gets done on time. It feels as though these questions are very subjective and not always clear on what grounds it wants you to answer on. I would believe that trends across the world would change for a variety of reasons. Cultural differences can make a large difference in how often one wants to use social media, and also what access there is to other forms of media.
