Students will explore how technology is related to cybersecurity from an interdisciplinary orientation. Attention is given to the way that technologically driven cybersecurity issues are connected to cultural, political, legal, ethical, and business domains.

Discussion Board: Opportunities for Workplace Deviance. How has cyber technology created opportunities for workplace deviance.

Cyber technology has increased the opportunities for data misuse since employees can sometimes easily obtain sensitive or confidential information. Employees are also able to commit time theft and increase productivity loss. Those who work remotely can give false work hours or possibly exaggerate how many hours they worked. There can also be distractions in the workplace since employees can use company computer or phones to do anything other than their actual work which leads to time theft and less productivity.
