Hello there, I wanted to explain to you what went into the creation of my personal social media persona, @HTTC__. When I started working on this assignment, I was lost on what I could make an account of and what I would be able to write about. I was talking about the assignment out loud with one of my friends, and that’s when I realized I could make it from the perspective of a die-hard Washington Commanders fan. After such a revitalizing season, it felt only right that I write about the team that was there for me this year when no one else was. Watching the Commanders play this season was nothing short of spectacular. Every game that I watched always had me at the edge of my seat, anticipating the next plays. I had grown up around so many die-hard fans and had spent a lot of time with them, so of course I was going to pick up on the hype train, and I’m glad I did it when I did. On my social media account, my first post was “What is life without Jayden Daniels?” But I genuinely don’t know what life would be like if the Commanders had never drafted our franchise QB. The persona of my account is meant to be a fan page for the commanders and a troll page for any other team. I played into the “troll” mindset on one of my posts by saying “Does everyone remember where they were on October 27, 2024? I’m sure @CalebWill07 does…. #httc” I am sure Caleb Williams remembers every moment about that game. I remember watching the game with my friends in our living room, and when the ball went up, everyone went silent, and then when it was bobbled and caught, the room erupted into noise, and everyone was screaming and running around everywhere. This team has brought so much joy to me and my friends and given us memories that will never leave us, for this I am forever grateful. HTTC
