Welcome to my website! My name is Alexander Trevino, and I am currently a Cyber Security major at Old Dominion University (ODU). I have previously attended Houston Community College and Guilford Community College.

Early Life and Education

I was born in Vallejo, California, and spent my elementary years in Indiana. Before middle school, I moved to Greensboro, North Carolina, where I continued my education. In 2012, I graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) with a major in dance.

Professional Experience

  • Joffrey Ballet: After high school, I joined the Joffrey Ballet and danced with the company for a year.
  • UPS: Upon returning to Greensboro, I began working at UPS as a loader in the warehouse. After a year, I was promoted to training supervisor.
  • FedEx and Amazon: My career then took me to Houston, Texas, where I worked at FedEx for a few months and then at Amazon for a year in their warehouses.
  • Reliant Energy: I joined Reliant Energy, performing door-to-door energy sales.
  • Ultra Pure Solutions and Big Boy Toy Rentals: I worked for Ultra Pure Solutions, installing water purification systems, and simultaneously at Big Boy Toy Rentals for two years.
  • Amazon Delivery: Following this, I worked for Amazon Delivery for a little over a year.

Military Service

  • US Navy: I joined the US Navy as a Yeoman and was stationed in Fort Worth, Texas, for two years. In January, I transferred to Norfolk, Virginia, where I currently serve as a Security Intel Clerk, holding a top-secret security clearance. My responsibilities include handling security investigations, managing foreign travel, inspecting programs at various commands, and briefing senior Navy officers.
  • Future Aspirations: I am in the process of submitting my officer package to join the Cyber Warfare community within the Navy.

Personal Interests and Hobbies

I have a passion for traveling and exploring new cultures. Whether it’s hiking through the mountains, diving into the ocean, or simply walking through the streets of a foreign city, I find immense joy in discovering the world. Some of my favorite destinations include Japan, where I enjoyed the rich culture and delicious cuisine, and Italy, where I fell in love with the historical landmarks and vibrant art scene.

In my free time, I enjoy reading about history and technology, which helps me stay updated on current trends in cybersecurity. I am also an avid runner and participate in local marathons whenever I can.

I am the middle child in a family of three brothers. My younger brother also works in the cybersecurity field as a penetration tester in a fully remote environment, traveling the world..
