My name is Katelyn Rose and while I’ve been working in healthcare as a Billing Specialist for almost 8 years now, but my heart has always been with computer science. As a kid, you were more likely to find me messing around in Powerpoint or taking apart my gaming consoles, rather than finding me outside. My passion has shifted over the years and I’ve found myself taking my love of computers and gaming, and combining it with my interest in cybersecurity. My hope is that through my courses at Old Dominion University, I can learn what it takes to take those passions and form a career in Cybersecurity as a Cybersecurity Specialist/Engineer for major gaming companies like Activision Blizzard or Epic Games where I can focus on anti-cheat software and account security.
