My name is Keren Eicher. I am a second-semester ADN student at Germanna Community College and am currently pursuing the concurrent RN-BSN degree at ODU. This is my first semester at ODU. I have always dreamed of becoming a nurse, and I love the thought of finally fulfilling my dreams. I am not exactly sure which path I will take after graduating; I’m thinking maybe cardiology or oncology, but I guess we’ll see. I would also love to move overseas to Ukraine and use my nursing skills there, as I used to live there. I currently work as a CNA at a nursing home, which I enjoy.

I come from a close-knit family of four children. I love the outdoors, books, coffee, and spending quality time with friends. I am originally from North Carolina but currently live in Aroda, VA. As I mentioned before, I used to live with my family in Ukraine for almost seven years. I went over again this past summer on school break to help at a kids Bible camp and evacuate refugees from the front. It’s sad to see the country I love in ruins and full of suffering, but it was also encouraging to see how people still carry hope and resilience in their hearts despite all the hard.
