Biography

Julia Manchester is a first year Doctor of Physical Therapy student at Old Dominion University. She is from New Jersey where she received her undergraduate degree in Biology in 2017 from Rutgers University Camden with magna cum laude honors. Originally medical school bound, she decided to explore the physical therapy profession because of her love for anatomy and pathology. Julia moved to Richmond, Virginia shortly after her undergraduate graduation where she then worked as a physical therapy technician for over a year in an outpatient orthopedic clinic. When she wasn’t accepted into any DPT programs the first time applying, she worked another year as a physical therapy technician in an inpatient hospital and an outpatient neurology clinic where she discovered her love for neurologic physical therapy, specifically in spinal cord injury rehab. She currently resides in Norfolk, VA but plans to move back to Richmond, VA. She can be contacted via email at jmanc003@odu.edu.
