Throughout the ages people have been captivated by the unseen world around them. Like many before me, I was struck with wonder when viewing the world through a microscope. The juxtaposition of such a simple organism with the complexity of carrying out all the processes required for life has fascinated me since I was nine years old. I knew then that I would pursue a career revolving around biology and medicine. Over the years, writing has emerged as one of my strengths in these fields.
